Drawing Instructions

Lavender Drawing 1

How To Draw Lavender Flowers

Step 1

Begin by drawing a curved line down for the stem of the lavender flower.

Step 2

Next, you'll want to draw a small teardrop-shaped petal at the very top of the stem. Then draw two more petals on either side of the top petal.

Leave a little bit of space and draw two more petals, one on each side of the petals. Repeat this move until you reach at least midway of the stem.

Step 3

Now that you have most of your petals draw, go bad and fill your stem with more petals in between the ones you already drew.

Drawing Lavender Flowers Step 1

Step 1

Start by drawing a curved line for the stem.

Step 2

Go ahead and draw a petal shape at the top of the stem. Draw two more petal shapes on either side of the stem. Continue adding petal shapes as you make your way down the stem but make your petal sizes slightly bigger than the ones you first drew as you go down the stem.

Step 3

Since I wanted this lavender flower to look more clustered, I went ahead and darken certain parts of the petals, mostly shading them in the middle of the stem. By doing this it makes it look like the lavender flower is more detailed.

Conclusion

So, there you have it. Two different kinds of lavender flowers to draw that are pretty similar but when you put them together, they create a beautiful lavender bouquet. You can also draw them in different sizes and in different directions, totally up to you.

Now all that is left is to color these lavenders in. Use light and dark shades of purple for the petals and a lovely bright shade of green for the stem.
